Blame Twilight came together during the fall of 2002 as a four-piece melodic hard rock/punk group based out of the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. Drawing from influences ranging anywhere from harder acts like Glassjaw and Finch all the way to more song-oriented groups like the Foo Fighters, the band began writing rock songs with more of an edge while still showcasing the catchy melodies and strong vocals that made them stand out from other bands. After a few line-up changes, writing some material with a bit more focus, and rehearsing extensively, the band embarked on its first ever week-long Midwest tour in June of 2003, during which they made their way through Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota. This came just shortly after all the members had completed their freshman year in college and less than eight months after the band had formed.

In the subsequent months, the band found themselves without a bass player, but still began working on what would become their five-song debut EP entitled, "With This Sharpened Edge." The three original members left (Jeff, Russ, and Chris) recorded all of the parts themselves, while still playing shows occasionally with friends sitting in on bass. Fortunately, the band was completed when, this past November, their friend Alan decided to join the group, making this lineup Blame Twilight's most promising incarnation yet. After pushing the release date back numerous times, "With This Sharpened Edge" was released independently in December of 2003. Alan left the bandin March and they were lucky enough to find the best person and bass player to join the band. With Track (Jeff) now ready to rock out and make you laugh til you cry, the band was complete. They will be going on a 2 week midwest tour from June 21-July 5th, so catch them in a town near you! With both a new line-up and a new CD available, the band now looks forward to playing as much as possible to support their release and writing enough material for a full-length album scheduled for sometime late this year.
